Fishing - Lake Fullsenn
About
Fish species: trout
Fishing in Lake Fullsenn is probably best by boat, however there are some good locations from the shore as well, such as the river mouth on the southern side of the lake. Are you hunting for the large trout we recommend using flies, but worm and lure works as well. Boat rental and cabin available through the land owner, visit www.fullsenn.no and choose Skrautvål Sameige. Accessible fishing area for people with disabilities at the Svarthamar bridge.
Directions:
There are two alternatives: Follow road 51 towards Heggenes and follow the sign to Fullsenn (approx. 30 km). Toll road. Parking near Olægret and Jorislægret.
The other alternative is to follow the Skrautvålsvegen road from Fagernes towards Skrautvål. After passing the Skrautvål church, turn right onto Svarthamarvegen and follow the sign towards Skrautvål Skisenter. Keep going on this road (toll road Skrautvål Stølsveg) all the way until you get close to Fullsenn. As you reach the Svarthamar bridge over the river Etne, you can either turn right towards Svarthamar and left again towards Susstølen and then follow the signs to Susstølen where you can park, or take a left further towards Fullsenn and park by Raneisstølan. From here, it’s approx. 1 km walk to the lakeshore.
From Nythun Mountain Lodge or Valdres Høyfjellshotell, take the side road that starts approx. 700 m north of Nythun to the Svarthamarvegen road which you follow to Svarthamar/Fullsenn as described above.
