Snowcoach service to Eidsbugarden
During winter, from approx. the middle of Februrary to Easter, the local transport company JVB is operating a snowcoach service from Tyin to Eidsbugarden with a fleet of historic Bombardier snowmobiles. This is living history, transportation and a tourist attraction combined! 

Travelling in these old Bombardier snowmobiles is an experience in itself. The snow coaches are up to 64 years old. There are up to eight daily departures, many of them corresponding with express buses from Oslo and Bergen. The service is popular with skiers, cabin owners and tourists that wish to access the stunning mountain landscape of Jotunheimen during winter.

Pre-booking is mandatory within the day prior to travel. You will need warm winter clothes and warm shoes. JVB, the operating company, reserves the right to cancel departures due to weather and snow conditions.

The snow coaches
The snow coaches were manufactured by Bombardier in Canada from 1952 to 1978. They have a capacity of 14 persons with luggage each. JVB owns 12 Bombardier snow coaches.
