Valdres is probably best known for its breathtaking nature and varied activities menu, however there are also many exciting events throughout the year. Use our event calendar to find out what’s on at any time.

During the summer there are both large and small events outdoors in the mountains for which Vinjerock at Eidsbugarden, FRIKAR’s "Dream catcher" in the Åbjøra gorge or the sundown concert at Jaslangen during the Jørn Hilme festival are very good examples. There’s something special about listening to good music in the great outdoors or see a modern dance performance on a breathtaking natural stage.  

Valdres is known for its excellent local produce, and during autumn we celebrate this with several food festivals. Norsk Ostefestival and Norsk Rakfiskfestival are examples for annual food festivals in Valdres.

No matter the season, there’s always a reason to visit Valdres!
