Getting there and around

Valdres is centrally located right in the middle of southern Norway with easy access from the Oslo region. Valdresekspressen (bus) runs up to 8 times daily from Oslo/Sandvika. There are also bus departures from Bergen, Lillehammer, Gjøvik and Gol.

If you are driving, the main roads to Valdres are the E16 from Oslo/Bergen, road 51 from Gol/Vågå (passing through the National Tourist Route Valdresflya, winter closed), Road 4/33 from Gjøvik and road 250/33 from Lillehammer.
