From Fagernes, follow Garlivegen towards N.Etnedal until Nythun Høyfjellstue (Mountain Lodge). Parking against fee at Nythun or in front of the toll barrier on Jutulvegen.

Walk along Jutulvegen (gravel road) towards Tveitastølen for approx. 2.5 km and turn left towards Jululen. The path will take you across Tveitastølfjellet (1043 m.s.l.) and continues to Jutulen. Fantastic view overlooking Steinsetfjorden, Etnedalsfjella and the Synnfjell mountain massif. The route passes through some muddy and rocky areas.

Alternatively, you can drive all the way to Jutulstølen (toll road). From there, follow a clear path in a westward arc to the top. The toll fee is only payable via mobile phone (SMS service, you receive the payment details and bank transfer the amount afterwards).
