Sparstadstølen in Sanddalen
About
Welcome to the summer mountain farm Sparstadstølen!
North of Lake Vangsmjøre, in the side valley Sanddalen, a cluster of summer mountain farms is situated. One of them is Sparstadtrøe where traditional farming was reintroduced in 1996. There is no electricity, heating is with a wood stove and the work flow is completely manually as it was in the 60s, when the farm last was in use; milking and dairy production. Today, we run the farm because of our peronal interest for farming culture, tradition and nature. Visit us and sample our traditional sour cream porridge "rømmegrøt" or purchase farm made sour cram, butter and brown cheese.
