Hensfjellet is a nice randonnée trip in the western part of Valdres. The tour offers challenges for both experienced skiers and beginners. The tour starts in the birch forest and leads up to open mountain terrain. Some parts of the forest has been cleared, offering nice downhill runs. Park along the road and keep straight up the open field, later follow the scooter track uphill through the forest. When you reach the sign towards Måneberg, keep on straight uphill, following a slight ridge onto the open mountain side.  

The mountainside of Hensfjellet is wide, and there are many options to choose from for the downhill run. If you keep close to the riverbed to the top and also follow this route down again, you are mostly under 30 degrees inclination. However, be aware that avalanches can occur in hillsides with inclinations lower than 30 degrees and that it is you who is responsible for making the right choices.
