The Heklefjellet trail from Båtskaret to Beitostølen - a hike in our green mobility concept

Take the bus from Beitostølen to Båtskaret (summer service; departures are found on www.nor-way.no and www.entur.no).

The trail starts right beside the small red hut at Båtskaret and follows the hillside to the right. After approx. 100 meters in elevation gain it flattens and shortly after the trail splits. While the trail straight ahead leads to the summit of Gravolskampen, you turn right towards Heklefjell. After approx. 10 minutes you are at the viewpoint on Heklefjellet. Continue straight ahead, over some hills and through some dumps until you get to the foot of the mountain Grønekinnkampen. Here you meet the trail net of Beitostølen where all intersections are numbered. You are now at no. 42. 

You can choose to either follow the path over Grønekinnkampen or along its northeastern flank. They meet again on the other side, before the next intersection which is no. 44. From here, the return trail to Beitostølen over the Garlimyra flats is well signend. From the top of the ski lift you can either walk down the trail in the alpine slope or catch a ride on the lift within the opening hours.
