Hellebuklia Løypelag grooms a fine cross-country track net in the mountain area southwest of Bagn towards Hallingdal, south of the valley Bjødalen. The starting point is Hellebekk Turistsenter which is accessible on a toll road from Bagn via Ellingsæter and has good parking spaces along the road both before and after the tourist centre.

In the following we describe a circuit of approx. 14 km around the small lake Ormetjednet, in the direction of the mountain massif Rauddalsfjellet. All intersections are numbered, and as we describe the route from intersection to intersection, we recommend that you keep track of where you are with help of a map. From the parking area along the road at Hellebekk, start with the track south of the road that leads to intersection H15. Keep straight ahead here and left 600 m later. After another 400 m you reach intersection H18. Here you turn south (left) towards H17 and Høvreslie. The track winds through the cabin areas and crosses a number of roads. At intersection H17, turn right towards H20 which you reach after 500 m uphill. Now you are in the mountains - properly in the mountains! From H20, two tracks lead northwest towards intersection H5, and you can choose either of them. The one to the right (straight ahead in the intersection) is half a kilometer shorter. Reaching intersection H5, turn right if you took the shorter route north of Ormetjednet, while you keep straight ahead if you took the longer route south of Ormetjednet. After a couple hundred meters, there's a nice small resting hut on the left which invites to a well-deserved break. Now there's only downhill and flat left, and the return to Hellebekk is swiftly accomplished. There are several options to choose from, but we recommend to keep straight ahead at intersection H4, taking the direct route via intersection H19 back to intersection H18. From here you can either return on the track south of the road on which you came or explore the northern loop on the last stretch back to the car.
