LANGEBERGET 918 moh

Langeberget is the southernmost of the six historical beacons in Valdres. From there, you can enjoy a nice view towards Søndre Fjellstølen and Stavadalen.  

Exit the E16 in Bagn and follow the signs towards Reinli. Just before the local Matkroken grocery store, turn left and keep driving through a couple properties until you get to a toll station. Continue on the toll road towards Skard/Island. At a small shed there is room for parking on the left-hand side, and a sign on the opposite side of the road marks the trailhead of the marked the trail to Langeberget. It is partly difficult to follow up the hill through the logging field (just keep along the forest edge), but once you reach the ridge, it is clearer and leads north to the beacon. From the top, you can see all the way to the next beacon, Vardeberget at Hjelle in Aurdal.
