Tomashelleren is beautifully located south of Jotunheimen National Park between the big lakes Vangsmjøsa and Bygdin. You will have exceptional views of Jotunheimen's mountain peaks along the trail, and you will pass several great fishing spots. Just remember to buy the fishing licence first.

Facilities
Tomashelleren has 14 beds, and most of what you need for a pleasant stay; bedspreads, food and kitchen appliances, but there are not running water or electricity. Water can be fetched from a water source outside, candles light up the cabin and you can use the gas driven stove for coocking. Don't forget the DNT-key and bed sheets/sleeping bag. Please note that it is not permitted to have dogs inside the cabin, but there is a dog cage in the outhouse.

How to get there
Marked hiking trails from Sanddalen and Herredalen (approx 3 hours walking) during the summer season. During the winter season, you can ski to Tomashelleren from Tyin. Winter parking where the road splits towards Eidsbugarden.
