Storeskag
About
Storeskag is a self-serviced DNT-cabin located in an idyllic mountain farm area in Langsua National Park. The cabin is an excellent starting point for hiking and skiing in the national park. Two other self-serviced DNT-cabins (Haldorbu and Skriurusten) are just a day hike away from Storeskag. The hiking trail to Langsua's highest mountain, Skaget (1686 m.a.s.l), starts at the doorstep of the cabin.
How to get there
During summer you can drive all the way to Storeskag by car. There is a large parking area approx. 500 m before the cabin.
During winter, parking is shortly after Selstølen, 3 km past Yddin Mountain Lodge. From here it is approx. 8 km on skis to the cabin.
Facilities
Storeskag has 11 beds and most of what you need for a pleasant stay; bedspreads, food and kitchen appliances. But there is no running water or electricity. Water can be fetched from a water source outside, candles light up the cabin and you can use the gas driven stove for cooking. Don't forget the DNT-key and bed sheets/sleeping bag.
Enjoy your trip!
