Drive on the E16 to Aurdal and exit uphill towards Danebu (toll road) and park at Aurdal Fjellpark. Follow the main track southeast via Storstølen towards Kringlestølen, keeping straight ahead in all three track crossings. Sometimes, an alternative track is groomed alongside Lake Langevatnet in addition to the main track that leads over the hill (1134 moh). There’s a 200 m long sidetrack to the summit point of Bjørgovarden (1138 m.a.s.l.) that usually also is groomed.
You can return on the same way (11 km in total) or keep heading southeast downhill towards Nordfjellstølen. In the first crossing after 1.6 km from the summit, turn right and right again after another 0.4 km. The return journey leads via Rotvasstølen, Kolsrudstølen and Grånholen back to Aurdal Fjellpark. From Grånholen you can choose between two different routes, one to the left and one to the right, which are about equally long, back to Aurdal Fjellpark.
