Alpine skiing and snowboard at Golsfjellet
Golsfjellet has two downhill skiing centres that are very family friendly. They also serve as starting points for cross country skiing tours which makes it possible to combine the two types of skiing. Some family members can choose cross country while the others ski downhill, and everybody can gather for breaks and have a lunch together. Together there are five lifts and 17 downhill slopes to choose from.
Both centres have a fantastic location on Golsfjellet with beautiful vistas towards several national parks. Everything should be set for a great skiing holiday.
The Golsfjellet Alpinsenter has a large children's ski play area with downhill slope, portals and moguls. There are pists for beginners and advanced skiers as well as powder slopes and a park with jumps and rail. There's also a ski rental for pulks, cross-country and alpine skiing equipment.
The Storefjell Ake- og Skisenter has three lifts and eight downhill slopes of various length and difficulty and a terrain park with jumps ans rails. There's also a toboggan slope with an own lift (12 yrs min. age) as well as two large sledging and skiing play areas for the little ones. During school holidays there's a drop in ski school, otherwise on pre-order. There's also a ski rental for pulks, cross country and alpine skiing equipment.
The cosy cafés at both skiing centres serve home baked snacks and warm and cold drinks. Pick up your free map of the cross-country skiing tracks here or stock up with ski wax, sun glasses or chocolate and other snacks for your day in the snow!
