About
Begna Bruk AS is an independent sawmill and the largest industrial workplace in Valdres. The company was founded in 1962, and has approx. 50 employees.
The vicinity of the sawmill has large areas of forest. The quantity of timber purchased is in excess of 200,000 m³ of spruce timber. We are continuously working on modernisation, and the last few years have been characterized by large investments in new production equipment, such as a new bark stripping machine, new measuring frame and other measuring equipment on the saw in 2015, which leads to good and accurate shedding.
The adjuster was converted to automatic camera sorting in 2013. This has given us a even, good and accurate quality sorting.
The company has solid finances and appears today as a very efficient band saw mill.
